WHAT WE DO 

In the short term, there are a number of HVAC problems that reduce the efficiency of your system such as dirty air filters. These seemingly small issues put strain on your AC unit and, if unchecked, can cause serious and expensive repairs.

HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS: These issues can be addressed by a professional during an annual AC maintenance inspection. You can count on us to:

 

  1. Visually inspect condenser for oil deposits, debris, etc. Apply pressure gauges to check operating pressures.
  2. Draw readings of capacitor and start components.
  3. Take readings on refrigerant levels and visually inspect for any leaks. Note whether refrigerant is R-22 or R-410A.
  4. Inspect thermostat function and wiring. Ensure thermostat accuracy.
  5. Inspect ducting and ventilation. Change 1 Inch filters or speciality filters (if applicable).
  6. Check return and supply air temperatures.
  7. Take a reading of the defrost cycle / supplemental heating and ensure it is at factory specifications.
  8. Check superheat.
  9. Inspect air entering the outdoor coil.
  10. Visually inspect indoor coil for debris. (If water source such as a hose is available and near coil a light rinse may be performed)
  11. Visually inspect condenser coil for debris. (If water source such as a hose is available and near coil a light rinse may be performed)
  12. Check blower motor function as well as belt tension.
  13. Inspect outdoor fan motor function. Ensure fan blade is tightened and lubricate as needed.
  14. Collect amperage and voltage from the blower motor and condenser fan motor and ensure they are at factory specifications.
  15. Inspect condensation pump function.
  16. Inspect the contactor connection and electrical components.
  17. Check suction line temperature and pressures.
  18. Inspect service valves.
  19. Follow wiring / electrical connections and ensure proper placement.
  20. Inspect disconnect box, confirm correct wire size and tighten connections.
  21. Inspect the metering device.
