If your AC is completely out in summer
- • Contact your landlord immediately, this is typically an emergency maintenance request
- • In Nevada, landlords must provide habitable conditions including reasonable heating/cooling
- • Document everything: date, time, temperature, and all communication
- • While waiting: close blinds, use fans, stay hydrated, and go to a cooling center if needed
If you smell gas
- • Leave the building immediately
- • Call 911 from outside
- • Do not use light switches, phones, or anything that could create a spark inside
- • Contact your landlord once you're safe
Staying comfortable while you wait
